The presented project focuses on the study of electrical modification of dielectric biocompatible hydroxyapatite, which is primarily used in bone and dental implants due to its natural occurrence in the human body. Charging this biomaterial can enhance its bioactivity, potentially accelerating the healing process. The project primarily investigates the long-term stability of the charge retained in the material when irradiated with an electron beam in a scanning electron microscope. Charge stability is a key parameter for the applicability of this method in routine medical practice, as it affects the storage possibilities of charged implants, their shelf life, and effectiveness in the human body.
